Visit from ECO-Innovation Project manager
On 11th and 12th November we hosted an evaluatory visit from EU managers Christine van Wunnik Project Officer and Isabella Saini , Financial Officer. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate progress on the GreenBottle project and, in particular, to assess our readiness to submit an Interim Payment Application before Christmas.
The visit was most helpful, and it was a pleasure to meet with Christine and Isabella. During the visit we spent time at the GreenBottle offices reviewing a draft version of our Interim Application and meeting the GreenBottle team, and then visited Consortium Members Marybelle Dairy and Robotic Technology Systems (RTS), as well as key contractor Cambridge Systems Engineering (CSE). On these visits we reviewed the work we have done on filling and distributing our bottles, and observed the bottles running down the Marybelle line. We also viewed the prototype vacuum forming machine sited at RTS and the prototype pulp machine which has been developed at CSE. We received excellent presentations from personnel at both RTS and CSE which helped the EU team to build a good understanding of the work we have completed so far, and why the project is running nicely ahead of schedule. We are on track to submit our Interim Application before Christmas.
Let me formally thank all those who were involved in making the visit a success, and also Christine and Isabella for the time they gave up in travelling across to view our developing operation.
